University of Bristol Rugby Club Awards
VISION
"Be an Internationally recognised University Rugby Club. Educating and Inspiring Student athletes to connect, lead and excel on and off the field".
WHY CREATE IT?
1. To create prestige & inspire performance in UBRFC
2. To better engage past, present and future students
3. To reach the highest student playing level
4. To connect the club from 1st year to Alumni
OBJECTIVE
Monitored and managed by the Head of Rugby, Club Manager, Club Committee and 1876 Committee - The aim is to drive performance throughout UBRFC via a progressive awards system aiming to inspire players at all levels to strive to reach their potential.

We're here to help you train, compete and achieve your sporting goals during your time at Bristol. As one of the top 10 universities for sporting achievement in the UK, we have a dedicated team of coaches and support staff to help you to reach your full sporting potential.

RUGBY SCHOLARSHIPS
Maroon Scholarship

15 players (excluding VC scholars) will be selected via trial and interview to apply for a scholar award.

Financial award to cove the cost of the club membership and university gym access for 1 year

Personalised profiling and IDP

Bespoke Strength & conditioning support

Weekly skills coaching

Weekly game analysis

Personal performance mentor

Performance nutrition and sport psychology support

Yearly awards dinner
Criteria for Maroon application:
-
Players must improve on physical profiling markers between June term end and Preseason start
-
Players must attend 3 x S&C sessions per week in season
-
Players must complete IDP's, diet diaries and attend bi-weekly skills training sessions
-
Players must participate in 2x community engagement or club outreach project per season
-
Players must engage in voluntary coaching sessions of 4th team and below.
