ABOUT THE CLUB

The University of Bristol rugby club is the largest rugby club in Bristol with 10 teams across the Men’s and Women’s club providing competitive rugby for over 400 students each year at the University.

Both clubs take performance, development and social rugby seriously to ensure there is an offer for all students wishing to play the sport.

Since 2024 the rugby clubs have had an official partnership with professional side Bristol Bears which has seen a number of students already go on to wear the Bristol Bear shirt.

The ethos for the club is:

Achieve : Ensuring students can succeed on and of the field with all teams striving for the top leagues in their division.

Connect : Ensuring that the club keeps engaged with the estimated 30,000 alumni that has played for the university whilst also supporting the local community. 

Experiences : Ensuring every student has the chance to create life long memories whilst at university and supporting them through their education through a multi ability offer, international tours, dinners, prestigious fixtures and alumni mentoring.
